Debris Load

The Debris Load Calculator provides an estimate of the maximum deflection, the vertival and lateral forces, and the impulse duration on a VIG during an impulse impact of a stainless steel ball (a ball drop impact simulation). The vertical and lateral forces are graphed as functions of time. The detali of the calculation can be found in Background Theory here. The table of the calculated results can be downloaded as an Excel file by pressing the Download XLS button (available in desktop version only).
